HOT NEWS! WCRD Among Top 5 College Radio Stations in the Country
In October of 2009, WCRD was named one of the country's top five college radio stations, according to the mtvU Woodie Awards. The annual contest is run by mtvU, the college-oriented TV network owned by MTV Networks. According to an MTV press release, the top stations are chosen based off accolades from CMJ College Radio acknowledgements, Princeton Review Nominations, on line votes and independent questionnaires completed by a cross-section of record labels. This year mtvU utilized RateMyProfessors.com to let students narrow down the nominees via online voting at the site.
